Crocs

Crocs were originally intended for boating, this is because of the nonslip tread and waterproof propensities. The first croc was originally created in clog form, but has branched out into many different types and styles of shoes.

Crocs haven’t always been viewed as the most fashionable pair of shoes; however, people swear by their comfort. I’ve also heard that not only are they comfortable shoes, they have some special health factors which are great for our feet!

The company has created what it calls an Rx line of shoes with healthy feet in mind. These are the Croc Relief, Croc Cloud, and Croc Silver Cloud. According to WebMD doctors, these shoes do help feet with bunions and individuals with diabetes. Also, these shoes were designed for feet with plantar and achy feet.

Harold Glickman, DPM, former president of the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA), states that he wears them while operating for three or four hours at a time, and gets the sense that he is standing on water. This implied that he felt no back pain, no leg pain, and no arch pain. He definitely recommends them. Others have reported that Crocs allow more room in the toe area, providing space for individuals who have bone deformities.

Crocs have received the official seal of approval from APMA, which have stated that crocs do, indeed, have factors or features that promote good foot health. Although crocs, when originally created, were not the most fashionable pair of shoes; however, crocs have branched out into many different styles making them more appealing and fashionable.
